Now You See Me is a very personal piece of art for me. As a gay kid, growing up in a conservative and homophobic society, I had to hide my real self for a long time. Even as an adult. It was only after I moved to Canada that I really started to be myself. I LOVE colours and Pink is one of my favourite colours. As a closeted gay person, I'd shy away from colours. This painting in all its colourful glory is me announcing to the world - Now You See the Real Me.

This painting was painted over a few weeks in the beginning of 2019. Each band of colour is made up individual dabs of a credit card's edge.
